National Roma Centrum began with the Campaign for mobilization of citizens for more massive participation in the census in Macedonia with financial support from the Open Society Roma Initiatives Budapest. The campaign will last during September and will cover Roma settlements and cities from Eastern Macedonia. More than 40 Roma activists joined the Campaign. A training was organized for them at which, Mr. Senad Mustafov, the Roma representative and member of the State census commission, informed about the way of realization of the Census from 01-15 October 2011.

Asmet Elezovski, manager of the NRC directed his message towards the Roma activists and citizens “The census enables each citizen to freely express its nationality, and for us this would be another opportunity to get closer to the real number of Roma in Macedonia. “
