Fair play for fair participation

National Roma Centrum from Kumanovo is organizing the campaign “Dzan” (translated: go, know), in order to increase the level of Roma participation in all forms of civil participation in the society. The organization will work on education and motivation on Romani voters to be involved in the electoral process for the Parliamentary elections in Macedonia. The campaign is organized with support by Roma Participation Programme Budapest. Through our working programme and propaganda material as well with basic instructions, we want to convey a message to stop with the manipulation of Roma votes. Our idea is to promote tolerance and fair elections throughout football matches that will be organized as part of our campaign. These football matches will be manner for young Roma to be in situation to promote fair-play as way of promotion of the responsibility for participation in the electoral process. Seeing the electoral process as immense part to express the will of the citizens and to promote mutual understanding, tolerance and awareness that Roma population can be equal participant in this process and the will and voice of the Roma citizens will be heard. Roma going on elections will contribute building their role in the society. In the frames of the campaign we will visit the cities in Macedonia where Roma lives in bigger number and we will organize sport competitions in order to educate Roma voters fo active participation at the elections. The sport competitions will be organized in Crnik, Vinica, Shtip, Skopje, Kumanovo and Prilep, and distribution of the propaganda materials for active participation of Roma voters will be realised in: Skopje, Kumanovo, Tetovo, Gostivar, Bitola, Prilep, Resen, Kicevo, Ohrid, Strumica, Gevgelija, Valandovo, Negotino, Gradsko, Kavadarci, Veles, Radovish, Kocani, Berovo, Crnik, Pehcevo, Delcevo, Vinica, Shtip, Probishtip, Kratovo, Kr.
