The exhibition was organized in ART Gallery Kumanovo
On November 21st, the art gallery in Kumanovo opened the child drawing’s exhibit, drawn at the Roma Pride even thtough the DOSTA! Campaign, “Override prejudice, meet the Roma” held on the 09.10.2014 in front of the Cultural center “Trajko Prokopiev” in Kumanovo. The event was organized in cooperation with the art teachers from primary and high schools, where the pupils prepared drawings with the theme “How well do you know Roma”.
Participants on the exhibition were 11 schools, 4 high and 6 primary schools and guest school from the primary school “Braka Miladinovci” from the settlement Miladinovci, Municipality Ilinden. Also video materials from the event Roma pride was promoted and diplomas for participation were given to schools, art teachers and the pupils.
The main goal of the exhibit was to motivate pupils to continue with their creativity and to use are as a tool for expression that would influence to overcome stereotypes and prejudice and creating of a better image for Roma in society.
