The camp is part of the project “Promotion of social inclusion of young Roma from marginalized rural communities”, which is being realized by Amalipe in partnership with the National Roma Centrum and Pro Europe, within PROGRESS program of the European Commission.

The centre for inter-ethnic dialogue and tolerance “Amalipe” organized a Progress Camp in Brajasta, in the area of Veliko Tarnovo. The camp is part of the project “Promotion of social inclusion of young Roma from marginalized rural communities”, which is being realized by Amalipe in partnership with the National Roma Centrum and Pro Europe.

The purpose of the camp was to create new ideas and exchange of information for work of the centers. All moderators from the Centers from Bulgaria, Romania and Macedonia participated. Lecturer at the camp was Gjorgji Bogdanov, a social worker that organized interactive sessions in order to have insight in the approach, tasks and obligations of the moderators towards the target group as well as their tasks.

Also at the camp, the documentary film about Roma craftsmen was promoted which was filmed within the frameworks of the project “Promotion of social inclusion of young people from marginalized rural communities”. Other discussions were about history, culture, tradition, religion of Roma from Bulgaria. At the end of the camp a visit was organized of the Municipality Pavlikeni, i.e. village Batak, where Roma grow roses and manufacture scented oils, wine, juice. The work of the Community support centre located in v. Miladinovci was presented by moderators Irfan Martez and Febijan Maksuti, as representatives of NRC.
