Increasing the skills and knowledge of participants to promote inter-cultural understanding and tolerance at local level
On 13th and 14th October 2016 at Hotel “Teatаr”, Bitola was held the first workshop on inter-cultural understanding and minority rights. The workshop was attended by local NGOs, representatives of the municipal council of Bitola, as well as representatives from the local administration.
The purpose of this workshop was to familiarize the participants with the latest international developments for promotion on inter-cultural understanding and protecting the rights of communities, national and local political and strategic framework for promotion of inter-cultural cooperation, tolerance and protection against discrimination.
An opportunity was created for participants to share experiences and opinions and to identify solutions for the problems that they are facing with.
At the end of the workshop was concluded on which problems we should have to pay more attention, and possible solutions that will contribute to improve participation of the smaller communities at the local level.
