{"id":4597,"date":"2018-03-22T13:46:01","date_gmt":"2018-03-22T13:46:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/nationalromacentrum.org\/en\/?p=4597"},"modified":"2018-03-22T13:46:01","modified_gmt":"2018-03-22T13:46:01","slug":"supporting-legalization-of-roma-housing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nationalromacentrum.org\/en\/projects\/action-for-legal-home\/supporting-legalization-of-roma-housing","title":{"rendered":"Supporting Legalization of Roma Housing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>National Roma Centrum started to implement the project &#8220;Supporting Legalization of Roma Housing&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>In the period from 2018 until 2020, NRC will work hard on the process of legalization.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Implementation period<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong>\u00a001.02.2018 &#8211; \u00a001.02.2020<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>overall objective<\/strong> of the project is to improve the housing conditions of Roma in Macedonia.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>specific objective<\/strong> of the project is to support Roma families in the process of legalization of their homes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Activities<\/strong><strong> and<\/strong> <strong>Results<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>At least 300-400 Roma families provided with sustained legal aid throughout the process of legalization of their homes,<\/li>\n<li>Roma communities in 5 municipalities (Kumanovo, Kichevo, Stip, Prilep, and Kocani) informed in continuity about their rights and legal recourse related to legalization of their homes,<\/li>\n<li>The capacity of Roma CSOs to protect and promote Roma rights related to housing and legalization of their homes, strengthened, by organizing three trainings for Roma CSOs,<\/li>\n<li>Five municipalities with sizeable Roma communities more closely involved with the housing problems of Roma and with improved capacity to respond to the needs of Roma citizens,<\/li>\n<li>At least 1.200 meetings (verbal legal advice) with beneficiaries,<\/li>\n<li>At least 50 open-air legal counselling days organized in the 5 target municipalities,<\/li>\n<li>At least 100 days of door-to-door legal counselling delivered,<\/li>\n<li>Guide for Roma CSOs on rights related to home legalization produced and disseminated,<\/li>\n<li>Three trainings on selected issues related to Roma housing rights, legalization of Roma homes, and urbanization of Roma communities, organized for municipal officials and other relevant stakeholders (Cadastre, Ministry of Transport and Communications,<\/li>\n<li>At least 15 meetings with relevant stakeholders on issues related to legalization of Roma homes and urbanization of Roma<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Project Implementation<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong> In the municipality Kumanovo, Kicevo, Kocani, Stip and Prilep.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Project Partners <\/strong><strong>:<\/strong>\u00a0Association\u00a0 Simbiozis 12 and ORM Bela Kula Kicevo.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Donor:<\/strong>\u00a0Delegation of European Union<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">****<\/p>\n<p>This publication has been produced with the assistance of the European Union.
