Implementation period: 02.01.2016 – 30.06.2017<\/p>\n

The project aims to contribute to improving the protection of human rights in the country by strengthening the system of free legal aid and detect its weaknesses. In this regard, the project will support civil society organizations in providing free legal aid and provide expert and independent analysis of the implementation of the Law on Free Legal Aid.<\/p>\n

Activities:<\/p>\n

– Building the capacity of NGOs and provision of a free (previous) legal aid<\/p>\n

– Registration of legal problems and detecting systematic weaknesses<\/p>\n

– Legal assistance in case of rejected free legal aid<\/p>\n

– Coordination of Network on Free Legal Aid<\/p>\n

– Monitoring of the implementation of the Law on Free Legal Aid<\/p>\n

– Monitoring of court cases that have hired lawyers offering free legal aid<\/p>\n

– Analysis of the decisions of the Administrative Court and the Supreme Administrative Court<\/p>\n

– Develop strategies for advocacy<\/p>\n

– Raising public awareness for legal aid<\/p>\n
