Creating sustainable channels for dialogue and partnership between local organizations and the local authorities<\/strong><\/p>\n

On 26.08.2016, at the local self- government unit of Kocani was held the second quarterly meeting.\u00a0The quarterly meeting was attended by local NGOs, representatives of the Council of the municipality of Kocani, as well as representatives from local primary schools.<\/p>\n

The purpose of this meeting was to establish sustainable channels for dialogue and partnership between civil society organizations and local authorities in order to ensure the participation of civil society in decision-making process.<\/p>\n

On the meeting was discussed the education of Roma in Kocani, the presence of Roma children in schools and the problems that they are facing in the educational process.\u00a0An opportunity was created for participants to share experiences and opinions and to identify solutions to the problems that they are facing with.<\/p>\n

At the end of the meeting we gathered information about the difficulties that local NGOs, schools and municipality in Kocani are facing with in the educational process for Roma.\u00a0It was concluded on which problems we will need to pay more attention and possible solutions that will contribute for improving the level of education of Roma children.<\/p>\n
