{"id":2204,"date":"2013-05-23T11:21:43","date_gmt":"2013-05-23T11:21:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.nationalromacentrum.org\/en\/?p=2204"},"modified":"2013-05-23T11:27:34","modified_gmt":"2013-05-23T11:27:34","slug":"housing-forum","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nationalromacentrum.org\/en\/uncategorized\/housing-forum","title":{"rendered":"Housing Forum"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>On 22 \u2013 24 April 2013, the \u201cForum for housing in Europe and Central Asia\u201d was held in Geneva, Switzerland<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Forum was organized by the United Nations \u2013 Geneva, Habitat for humanity international, the international federation Red Cross and Red Crescent, the United Nations Development Program, the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe, and the United Nations Population Program.<!--more--> This was a global event, attended by 147 delegates and 71 organizations. The attendance of the National Roma Centrum at this Forum resulted from the collaboration between NRC and the Foundation Open Society Macedonia on the project \u201cLegalization of Roma housing \u2013 Macedonia\u201d. The partner organizations of this project were also present on the forum: Zoran Kostov \u2013 executive director of Habitat; Liljana Alcheva \u2013 deputy director of the Habitat program; and Asmet Elezovski \u2013 executive director of the National Roma Centrum.<\/p>\n<p>The deputy director of the Habitat program, Liljana Ancheva, gave a detailed presentation which included the essential facts of the problematic, and she gave a precise view of the current situation and activities of the problem with housing in Macedonia.<\/p>\n<p>With its participation on the forum, the National Roma Centrum had the opportunity to promote its activities, problems and needs in the realization of the project \u201cLegalization of Roma houses in the Republic of Macedonia\u201d, which can be a positive instrument for the further implementation and additional support for a more efficient solution of the Roma issues related to housing.<\/p>\n<p>[post_gallery]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On 22 \u2013 24 April 2013, the \u201cForum for housing in Europe and Central Asia\u201d was held in Geneva, Switzerland &nbsp;
