With the support of Roma health Program (RHP) from Budapest and Accountability and Monitoring in Health Initiative (AMHI) from New York, since December 2010 we are realizing the project activity “Health Inequalities regarding Romani Women”.

According to NRC strategic plane 2010-2015, one of the area were NRC works is the health area, the main focus on this issue is the Romani women and health inequalities that she is facing on daily basis.

Our strategic priorities in this area are:

Advocacy for (1) progressive realization of the right for health; (2) on time and quality services for Roma women.

Raising of health awareness and informing about the benefits from health services for Roma women.

The project activities are pointed towards initiating of affirmative actions for approach to health services for Roma women in their reproductive period.

Target group of the activities are women from 15-45 years of age from: Kumanovo, Kriva Palanka, Kocani, Stip and Bitola.

NRC in the forthcoming period will work on research and advocacy, through identifying of problems on the field and their transference to authorized institutions, in order to result with improved solutions, conditions and practices for equal approach to health services for Roma.
